The HireWriters name no longer matches the destination reached by the link on this page. Checked on October 8, 2026, the historical site redirects to Toptal’s marketing-writer offering. We would not recommend joining an old HireWriters affiliate plan on the strength of its former commission table. The useful question now is whether there is a current partnership covering that destination.

Hiring a writer and earning a referral fee are different

A reader may still arrive here because they need website copy, articles, or marketing writing. Those needs are real, but a service destination and an affiliate agreement are two separate things. A redirect does not prove that old tracking, old customer attribution, or old recurring commissions survived. It also does not establish that Toptal has assumed the former HireWriters offer.

We have kept the historical page rather than inventing a new program under the same name. Its former claims included a fixed customer payment and a share of future net profits. Without current primary terms, those figures are historical, not actionable conditions for a new publisher. The same applies to the old cookie and weekly-payment claims.

What a useful writing recommendation should explain

An affiliate article about writing services should help the buyer define the job. A product landing page requires a different brief from a research-heavy article or an email sequence. Explain the subject knowledge, sources, editing, ownership, and revisions needed. This makes the recommendation useful even when the reader is comparing several ways of hiring.

For a publisher, the commercial question is then which event earns a commission: a qualified introduction, a first purchase, or another approved action. A price quoted to the customer is not necessarily the affiliate’s calculation base. Nor does a service’s availability establish that a public acquisition program accepts the publisher’s traffic.

A current alternative is easier to assess

Our Fiverr Affiliates review describes a published buyer-acquisition program for freelance services. The Freelancer review covers a project-fee bonus with specific relationship and time limits. These are different models, but both provide terms against which a proposed recommendation can be evaluated.

Our opinion on HireWriters is therefore reserved for a concrete reason: the destination changed and the old affiliate offer cannot currently be established from primary information. If an existing account still operates under a separate agreement, that agreement may clarify the situation. Until then, we would work with a documented current offer and avoid presenting historical residual income as something a new affiliate can obtain.
