Our review
At a glance
- Old program: Discontinued; this page’s historical partner route needs updating.
- Current model: Ezoic Advisor, with publisher connections established through an advisor code.
- Published rate: 4%, then 2% above the monthly commission tier for each linked publisher.
Ezoic’s old affiliate program and its current Advisor Program are different offers. Ezoic announced the former’s discontinuation in July 2023. The current model lets advisors earn commission on qualifying ad revenue from connected publishers. We see a potential fit for people who actively help website owners, rather than treat an old referral link as a current lifetime-income offer.
A publisher should understand the advisor relationship
A consultant helping a website owner evaluate ad placements has a reason to discuss this partnership. A content publisher recommending a platform without ongoing support is doing a different job. We like the model when the advisor can describe the value they contribute and how the relationship will be maintained.
The publisher supplies a code to establish the connection. Ezoic’s terms say the advisor commission is funded equally by Ezoic and the publisher, who can end the association. Explain that cost openly. It changes the publisher’s earnings and should be part of the decision, not a detail hidden behind the referral.
Read the tier as a commission tier
The Advisor page advertises 4% of qualifying ad revenue until commission reaches $5,000 per linked publisher in a month, then 2% above that level. It is not a threshold of $5,000 in publisher ad revenue. The accepted agreement and eligible revenue base still matter.
Hypothetical example: $10,000 of qualifying ad revenue at 4% would produce $400 in commission. This is not a forecast for any site or proof of an advertising improvement. It simply illustrates a month below the published commission tier.
Keep your ad earnings and referral earnings separate
Using Ezoic to monetize your own website is one activity. Advising a connected publisher is another. Separate those income streams in your records. Otherwise, a change in your own traffic can be mistaken for a change in the advisor business.
For an advisor, useful records include connected publishers, active codes, eligible revenue, and commission. Plan for what happens when a publisher ends the connection. We would build around a service relationship we can explain and maintain, not assume the recurring calculation guarantees permanent income.
Our view, including the old link
The current offer makes sense to assess for a professional supporting publishers. The historical partner route preserved on this page still points to the old affiliate domain, which did not resolve in our check. It is not a confirmed entry to the Advisor Program. Our Semrush review offers another model for a webmaster audience. Compare the service you recommend and the work involved before comparing headline rates.
