Our review
At a glance
- Public commission: Starting at $65 per qualified sale.
- Tracking window: 30-day cookie.
- Platform: Applications, tracking links, and reporting through Impact.
- Best fit: WordPress publishers, website-building educators, and hosting comparisons.
- Payment model: Qualified customer acquisition, rather than recurring hosting revenue share.
Bluehost pays affiliates for qualified hosting sales. We like the fit for publishers who help people launch a WordPress site: hosting is a real decision their readers need to make, rather than an unrelated product inserted into a tutorial. The commission is an acquisition payment. A customer renewing their hosting plan does not automatically mean another affiliate payout.

Where Bluehost fits in a publishing business
The strongest placement is a page that helps a reader choose hosting for a specific project. A first WordPress blog, a small business website, and a store have different requirements. Explain the relevant plan, its renewal price, and what the customer needs to set up. We favor that approach because the recommendation remains useful even to someone who decides against Bluehost. A large commission should never be the reason to recommend more hosting than the project needs.
A sale is not the same as an approved commission
The public program advertises commissions starting at $65. Hypothetical example: five approved sales at that starting rate would generate $325. Five clicks or five applications would not. Keep pending and approved sales separate when judging a placement. Refunds, qualification requirements, and the terms of your Impact agreement matter. A dashboard showing activity is encouraging, but it is not the same as money ready to withdraw. We would assess the approved commission per useful recommendation before expanding a campaign.

What the 30-day window changes
Bluehost publishes a 30-day cookie window. A reader may compare hosts and return later, so attribution has practical value beyond the first visit. It is still a window governed by tracking and the agreement, not a promise that every later sale will be credited. Check the destination attached to your approved link and the conditions for your promotional channel. If you use multiple tutorials, give their links distinct tracking labels so a successful comparison does not get confused with a weak banner placement.
Apply with a clear project
The program uses Impact to manage affiliate applications and reporting. Present an active website or content channel, your audience, and how hosting recommendations will appear. Being accepted by a platform and being accepted into a particular advertiser program are separate steps. We would start with a small selection of pages that already attract readers planning a website. That gives the partnership a purpose and makes the results easier to understand than scattering promotional links across every page.

Our take on Bluehost
Bluehost makes sense when your readers need hosting and you can explain the offer in plain English. We like the understandable acquisition model and the ability to track a recommendation through Impact. The main limit is that this does not build a recurring commission stream simply because hosting is a subscription. Compare the customer experience, plan suitability, and approved payouts together. For a publisher focused on website creation, that is a useful partnership to evaluate; for an unrelated audience, the advertised rate is not enough.
For another WordPress-oriented acquisition offer, DreamHost is a useful comparison. If the project is to sell hosting under a separate brand, ResellersPanel addresses a different need from a conventional hosting recommendation.
